About this event

Construction is a key industry sector in Gloucestershire, and now is the perfect time to train for a qualification in any of the industry areas we offer. Our construction courses are a great way to develop skills and build the foundation for a successful career in domestic and industrial construction.

You can choose from a wide range of specialisms, including bricklaying, plumbing, electrical installation and carpentry and joinery.

What can you expect from this talk?

Meet the subject tutors and lecturers who will be delivering these courses and as this is a live event you can ask questions at any time!

Book your place to:

  • Meet our friendly teaching teams
  • Hear about the different levels and qualifications you can gain
  • See examples of current student work and our teaching facilities
  • Learn about career paths, work placements, employer links and field trips
  • Explore progression opportunities – whether that’s university, an apprenticeship or employment
  • Hear how you are fully supported by dedicated Student Mentors at both an academic and pastoral level
  • Understand when and how to apply for a course with GC.

This is the start of your journey with Gloucestershire College – and of course if you have any questions after the event, you can follow up with the course leader email that we’ll send to you after the event.

*Please note that this talk may be recorded for training purposes*

Who can attend?

This subject talk is open to those looking to join Gloucestershire College in September 2022 (current Year 11s) for a full-time education course, and we also welcome attendance and applications from Year 12s and Year 13s who are looking to move from sixth form. We encourage both students and parents/guardians to attend this talk in order to find out more about the course and the college as a whole.

Please note, students and parents do not need to register separately for tickets – you just need one email account and event registration per family – the details for our open event will then be sent to you via email for you to access together from home. If students and parents/guardians will be joining online from different locations, then you will need to register separately.
